We are seeking a skilled and diligent Dryer & Silo Operator to join our production team at our facility in the Industrial Estate in Multan. The Role: Dryer & Silo Operator The Dryer & Silo Operator is a crucial technical role responsible for the precise operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the maize drying and material handling systems. This position ensures that all raw materials are processed to the required moisture levels and stored safely and efficiently in the silos, directly impacting the quality and consistency of our final feed products. The operator must be highly skilled in controlling complex machinery and committed to safety and quality protocols while working in rotational shifts. Key Responsibilities Drying Operations: Machine Operation: Operate and monitor maize dryer machines with precision to achieve the required moisture levels for processing and storage. Moisture Control: Expertly control moisture levels, temperature, and airflow within the drying units, making necessary adjustments to account for ambient conditions and incoming material properties. Troubleshooting: Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on dryer machines, conveyor systems, and related equipment to ensure minimal downtime. Safety & Quality: Strictly adhere to all operational, safety, and quality protocols related to the high-temperature drying process to prevent fire hazards and ensure product quality. Silo & Material Handling Management: Silo Operations: Manage silo operations, including filling, leveling, storage, and monitoring material flow efficiently and accurately. Transfer Oversight: Oversee conveyor and elevator transfers, ensuring smooth material transfer between various stages (receiving, drying, storage, and processing). Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all conveyors, elevators, and silo mechanisms are operating correctly, reporting any major mechanical or electrical process issues immediately to the maintenance department. Documentation & Compliance: Operational Logs: Maintain detailed operational logs and records, documenting machine settings, moisture readings, processing times, and material quantities. Reporting: Report mechanical or process issues, as well as any deviations from quality standards, to the supervisory team promptly. Shift Work: Demonstrate the ability to work in rotational shifts (as required by continuous industrial operations) with strong adherence to safety protocols. Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Intermediate / DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineer) in Mechanical or Electrical is required. BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred. Experience: 1-3+ years of experience is required in a relevant field, specifically: Maize drying operations. Silo operations. Industrial material handling. Skills: Skilled in operating complex industrial dryers and material handling equipment. Strong adherence to safety and quality protocols. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
