Salva Breeder Farms is a vital component of our integrated business model, focused on maximizing the productivity, health, and genetic potential of our parent stock to ensure the highest quality fertile eggs for the hatchery. We are seeking three highly experienced and qualified Breeder Farm Managers to oversee the critical daily operations of our farms. The Role: Breeder Farm Manager The Breeder Farm Manager is a key leadership and operational role responsible for the complete management of a Salva Breeder Farm unit. The manager ensures that all breeding stock are housed, fed, and managed according to the highest industry standards, optimizing egg production, fertility, hatchability, and overall flock health. This is a hands-on management position requiring deep technical knowledge of poultry science and strong leadership skills to manage farm staff effectively. Key Responsibilities Farm Operations & Production Management: Production Targets: Oversee all daily operations to meet targets for egg production, flock fertility, hatchability, and feed conversion ratios (FCR). Housing & Environment: Ensure optimal housing conditions, including ventilation, temperature control, lighting programs, and space allocation, are maintained strictly according to breeder guidelines. Feed & Water Management: Supervise the precise distribution of feed and water, manage feed storage to prevent contamination, and monitor consumption patterns daily. Bio-Security Implementation: Enforce and maintain stringent bio-security protocols across the entire farm to prevent disease outbreaks and contamination. Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, accurate, and timely records for all production parameters, including daily mortality, culling, egg collection, feed intake, and weight checks. Flock Health & Veterinary Care: Health Monitoring: Continuously monitor the flock for signs of illness, unusual behavior, or changes in performance. Vaccination Program: Execute the prescribed vaccination and medication programs accurately and on schedule. Collaboration: Work closely with the company Veterinarian or Poultry Consultant to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases. Culling: Make timely and appropriate culling decisions to maintain flock uniformity and health standards. Team Leadership & Administration: Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate the farm labor force and supervisory staff. Safety: Ensure all farm personnel adhere strictly to safety regulations and operational guidelines. Inventory Control: Manage inventory of supplies, feed, medicine, and equipment, and place timely orders to maintain continuous operations. Reporting: Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly production and cost reports for senior management. Required Qualifications & Experience Qualification: DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or BS Poultry Science is required. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of practical, hands-on experience in Breeder Production is required. Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of poultry physiology, disease prevention, nutrition, and breeder management techniques. Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and maintain a disciplined work environment. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to record-keeping and strict adherence to protocols.
