Veterinary Assistant (VA)

A dairy farm located in Mailsi with a herd size of approximately 100 animals is seeking a skilled and reliable Veterinary Assistant (VA). The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in Artificial Insemination (AI) and animal health treatment. This role requires someone who can manage daily livestock health tasks, assist with breeding programs, and ensure smooth overall herd health management. The selected candidate will work closely with farm management to improve productivity, reproductive efficiency, and overall herd performance. Key Responsibilities Perform Artificial Insemination (AI) accurately and efficiently. Diagnose common health issues in dairy animals and provide appropriate treatment. Monitor herd health daily and maintain health records. Assist in calving, postpartum care, and neonatal calf management. Administer vaccinations, deworming, and routine preventive health measures. Advise farm management on herd nutrition, hygiene, and disease control. Ensure proper farm biosecurity and hygiene protocols. Eligibility / Skills Required Experience in Artificial Insemination (AI) is mandatory. Strong skills in diagnosing and treating livestock health issues. Practical experience working with dairy animals is highly preferred. Ability to work independently and manage daily farm health operations.
