Farm Doctor – Layer Farm (Lahore Area)

The position involves complete responsibility for the health management and production performance of a commercial layer farm operating on the Karachi cage system. The selected candidate will oversee flock wellbeing through regular monitoring, early disease detection, and implementation of appropriate treatment protocols. A strong command of ventilation management is essential, as maintaining ideal temperature, humidity, and airflow directly affects egg production, feed efficiency, and mortality rates. The role requires supervision of daily farm routines, including feed distribution, lighting programs, water systems, and egg collection processes, ensuring all operations align with best poultry management practices. The candidate will maintain detailed records of flock health, vaccination schedules, production trends, and mortality patterns to support accurate decision-making. Biosecurity enforcement is a key responsibility, requiring strict control of hygiene, entry protocols, waste management, and disease-prevention measures. The candidate will also guide and train farm workers on proper handling, equipment use, and emergency procedures to maintain smooth farm operations. Coordination with the farm manager is required to review performance indicators and implement corrective actions when needed. Practical experience in layer farming, especially in Karachi cage management, along with strong observational, analytical, and communication skills, is essential for delivering consistent flock performance and achieving farm production targets.
