Veterinary Pathologist

A reputable export-oriented meat processing unit located at Raiwind Manga Road, Lahore, is hiring a Veterinary Pathologist to ensure the highest standards of animal health and food safety within its modern abattoir. The position is part of a team dedicated to quality, safety, and regulatory excellence. Key Responsibilities: Conduct post-mortem examinations and diagnose livestock diseases. Monitor animal health and welfare standards in the abattoir. Ensure compliance with veterinary and regulatory standards. Collaborate with management to maintain biosecurity protocols. Prepare detailed reports on pathological findings. Required Qualifications and Skills: DVM with specialization in veterinary pathology. Strong knowledge of animal diseases and biosecurity measures. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Relevant certifications. Valid PVMC registration. 3–5 years of experience in veterinary diagnostics or abattoir settings (preferred). Knowledge: Strong understanding of animal pathology, microbiology, and zoonotic diseases. Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, PSIS, Halal standards). Knowledge of humane slaughter and animal welfare practices. Additional Skills: Strong observational and analytical abilities for identifying health and safety issues. Capability to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, regulators, and stakeholders. Competence in making sound decisions under pressure. Physical ability to work in abattoir environments for extended periods.
