DVM Job Vacancy – MRK Dairies (Rawat, Rawalpindi)

Our facilities are of international standards, which include sand cubicles, feed tables, fans, showers, and divisions for different animals. Our herd consists of pure Holstein Friesian and Jersey from America, Australia, and the Netherlands (Dutch). We have crossbreed animals as well, as we are trialling genetic improvements and programs. We currently have a herd of 70 animals, but will, Insha'Allah, expand to almost 100 by the end of the year. We don't believe in huge numbers; we believe in cows that have good health, fertility, and milk production - we want to grow with elite Team Players. Our main priority is the health of animals and reproducing them with good progeny – the future is good genetics at a farm. 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: We are looking for a skilled, experienced, self-motivated, energetic, organised, visionary, humble, easy to get along with, and hardworking DVM to join our team, with no ego. EXPECTATIONS: • Excellent health diagnosis - no test and trialling • Excellent skills in farm management • Prepare and implement all necessary SOPs • Meet health/reproduction/milk goals and targets • Meet goals for calf growth • Can do hoof-trimming • Willing to treat animals immediately and with no delays in treatment • Able to work in a veterinary team of DVM/AIT/VA/Internees as required • Can use or is willing to learn to use Dairy Software and Spreadsheets PERSONAL EXPECTATIONS: • Passionate about cows • Treat the farm and animals as their own • Understand and be willing to undertake demands of expected and unexpected workloads • We expect the candidate to take responsibility for the excellent care of our herd 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: The applicant must have at least 5 years of dairy farm experience with imported exotic breeds. You must have completed your DVM before 2020. Applicant MUST have sound bovine health experience. We pride ourselves on having a huge range of in-house equipment to perform all these tasks. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆 + 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀: Salary will be competitive and will increase based on farm growth. You will receive an annual salary increment of 10-15%. We will provide you with a farm residence with utilities.
