Luteolytic AgentFor Cattle Cloprostenol is a synthetic version of PGF2a, featuring low toxicity and quick elimination from the body. It promotes the morphological regression of the corpus luteum (luteolysis), leading to a decrease in progesterone levels in the bloodstream. This is followed by an increase in gonadotropin secretion, facilitating the return to estrus and normal ovulation. Active ingredients: Each ml contains - Cloprostenol sodium (equivalent to 25 mg of cloprostenol) - 26.3 mg Pack size: 20ml Indications for use: Undetectable estrus (silent heat)In cows during peak lactation, signs of estrus may be minimal even with normal ovarian functioning. In such instances, females should undergo rectal palpation to verify the presence of a corpus luteum. Upon confirmation, administer 2ml of Clocio and monitor for estrus prior to insemination.It is crucial to conduct an evaluation of the animal's body condition and nutritional status before starting any reproductive program.The product's effectiveness is linked to the presence of a functional corpus luteum, so Clocio should not be used on animals before the 5th day post-estrus or after the 16th day post-estrus.Here are two protocol examples that can be utilized:a) Following an examination that confirms the presence of a corpus luteum (via rectal palpation or ultrasound), administer a dose of Clocio, and during the subsequent estrus detection, proceed with artificial insemination or natural mating.b) Monitor estrus for six consecutive days and give a dose of Clocio on the sixth day to those animals that have not shown estrus. During the next estrus, proceed with artificial insemination or natural mating.
