42-12 Ultrasonic Scaler (Blue Top) Including 2 Instrument Tips

Unlike typical ultrasonic tooth scalers that employ a harsh “jack hammer” method for scaling, the iM3 42-12 utilizes a more gentle approach with its innovative rotational tip movement and ultrasonic plaque and calculus removal. The 42-12 effectively eliminates calculus buildup from all surfaces of the teeth and is safe for use in periodontal pockets as deep as 13 mm. This device achieves a brilliantly polished tooth surface while minimizing enamel damage thanks to its remarkably high ultrasonic frequency of 42,000Hz, combined with a very low amplitude of the titanium scaler tip’s circular motion measuring just 0.02 mm. The lightweight handpiece features a finger on/off control conveniently located for easy access, removing the necessity for a foot control. The combination of the rotational tip movement and elevated ultrasonic frequency produces a fine coolant mist that can be adjusted as needed. Included with the 42-12 scaler are universal and Perio titanium scaling tips (not stainless steel) along with a spare ferrite rod. Both the handpiece and tips are autoclavable for easy sterilization.
