Vetronic ICON Oxygen Analyser

An in-circuit oxygen analyzer designed for veterinary surgical suites and critical care units. The ICON device can be positioned at the fresh gas outlet of an anesthetic machine or within the re-breathing limbs of a circle system, wherever it’s essential to monitor the oxygen concentration. This tool is especially beneficial in scenarios where breathing systems do not operate with 100 percent oxygen, requiring varying oxygen levels. Additionally, it's important to ascertain the actual concentration of oxygen delivered from an oxygen concentrator or generator, as this can fluctuate depending on load and flow rates. There’s no need for a pump or delivery mechanism to supply gas to its sensing component. The active element is positioned very close to the surface, allowing for precise measurements in open-air settings, like oxygen tents or cages. The ICON can be provided with either magnetic or Velcro mounts for straightforward attachment to cage sides. It features a rapid response time, stabilizing to a reading in just 10-15 seconds. It operates on a standard single AA battery, lasting about one year with daily use of eight hours. The sensing component is a long-lasting galvanic sensor, with a lifespan of roughly two to five years, depending on exposure to 100 percent and 21 percent oxygen, respectively.
