This dermatological solution is ideal for addressing skin problems where insects pose a threat or where fly strike may be a risk, such as: Pyoderma Moist eczema (“hot spots”) Ringworm Malasseziasis Conditions leading to wet and contaminated fur and skin, including diarrhea and incontinence Antimicrobial Action: The antimicrobial properties of this product rely on the unique F10 compound. The effectiveness of F10 is a result of the individual actions of each component, along with the enhanced synergistic effects of the combined ingredients. At the specified concentrations, F10 has been shown to achieve a greater than 5-log reduction in microbial counts against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, fungi, yeasts, molds, enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, and both bacterial and fungal spores. While the category of keratinophilic fungi is extensive, only two genera, known as dermatophytes, are responsible for diseases like “ringworm” in animals. Insecticidal Action: The insecticidal properties stem from cypermethrin (a type of pyrethroid) and are enhanced by piperonyl butoxide. During testing, the species used for indication was Lucilia cuprina, a common blowfly. Upon spraying the larvae, they promptly began to move away from the application area and were dead within 30 minutes. Tests on L. cuprina eggs resulted in a 100% mortality rate. The product proved equally effective against adult flies, achieving a 77% kill rate in just 15 minutes, escalating to 100% within 30 minutes. Cypermethrin serves as a broad-spectrum insecticide, effective against a variety of insects including biting flies, fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks.
