This additional prefilter effectively captures most coarse dirt particles before the water even reaches the external filter. Its sturdy base sits firmly on the aquarium bottom. Water is drawn in from all sides across a large surface area, passing through modular filter baskets that can be filled with filter media, easily cleaned, and replaced. For maintenance, simply detach the filter baskets. It captures coarse dirt in the filter baskets, preventing early clogging of the external filter media. This significantly extends the biological breakdown process in the external filter, allowing for longer service intervals. Water is pulled in through the gravel base via the detachable (Easy Klick) filter baskets, which are simple to clean. All-around suction ensures a gentler filtration process. It includes 2 filter baskets with filter cartridges and can be fixed in place with a telescopic pipe instead of the intake pipe, which is also extendable if needed; compatible with Installations SET 1.
