When applied as instructed, Reef Buffer will elevate the pH level of your reef environment to 8.3, ensuring you won't unintentionally exceed a safe pH range. KEY FEATURES: Increases pH to 8.3 Simultaneously raises pH and carbonate alkalinity pK (8.6) enhances pH stability in a reef environment where the bioload is considerably higher than in a fish-only setup DIRECTIONS: Before use, measure your pH and alkalinity. Mix 5g (1 level teaspoon) for every 150L (40 US gallons) to elevate pH by approximately 0.1 pH units (this will also increase alkalinity by about 0.5 meq/L). Dissolve in at least 250mL (one cup) of freshwater, then introduce it into the tank. The pH of natural seawater ranges from 8.25 to 8.30. In a well-established reef system, pH adjustments may be needed biweekly to semiweekly. Dosing needs may differ, but avoid surpassing the suggested amount without verifying your pH and alkalinity levels.Expires on 30 Sep 2027
