Xylostin (Powder) is a potent combination of Macrolide and Polymyxin antibiotics against Gram +ve, Gram -ve bacteria and Mycoplasma. It binds reversibly to the 50S ribosomal subunit causing inhibited bacterial growth. It also damages bacterial membrane integrity that significantly contributes to the bactericidal effect.
Indications:
Xylostin (Powder) is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections like CRD, CCRD, Infectious Coryza, Mycoplasmosis and Air Sacculitis. It is also used for the gastrointestinal tract infections including Colisepticemia, Colibacillosis, Salmonellosis, Pullorum Disease, Fowl Typhoid and Secondary bacterial infections.
Dosage & Administration:
Poultry: 1 gram in 2 litre of drinking water for 3-5 days.
