Product Overview
Colistin sho ws a strong and rapid bactericidal activity
against gram-negative bacteria, specially Salmonella
and E. Coil. It has been observed that Colistin causes
marked formal changes in the bacterial cell wall result-
ing in the discharge of cytoplasm. Colistin adheres to
the bacterial cell wall and passes into the cell mem-
brane and finally combines with phosphatide in the
bacterial cell membrane. The decrease in surface
tension destroys the membrane.
It is poorly absorbed from the Gastro-intestinal tract
after oral administration, thus offering specific advan-
tages in the treatment and control of Gastro-intestinal
infections. (Colibacillosis and Salmonellosis)
Feeding & Usage Instructions
100 gm Colisol Powder to medicate 1000 liters of drink-
ing water.
Or 1 gm in 10 liters for 4-5 consecutive day.
Packing: Note: The medicated water should be used within 24
