Diclostar Super (Meloxicam) an oxicam derivative is reported to be preferential in hibitor of cyclo-oxygenase-2(cox-2). Diclostar Super (Meloxicam) 99% bounds to plasma proteins.(Meloxicam) has a plasma elimination half life of approximately 20 hours. It is extensively metabolised mainly by oxidation and excreted in similar amounts in the urine and in the faeces.
