A balanced mixture of important electrolyte ions for horses. Each 40 g dose contains: SODIUM IONS 10.00 g MAGNESIUM IONS 0.38 g POTASSIUM IONS 3.60 g SULFATE IONS 1.50 g CHLORIDE IONS 18.80 g CALCIUM IONS 1.90 g PHOSPHATE IONS 0.26 g A balanced mixture of important electrolyte ions for racing and performance horses. DOES NOT CONTAIN BICARBONATEFormulated for horses that are subjected to continual periods of physical exertion resulting in body salt and fluid loss, helping to correct fluid balance and to assist in the prevention of dehydration.Electrolyte replacer - Sodium, potassium and chloride ions are the three ions that are predominantly lost in sweat.The maintenance of correct fluid balance is critical to the performing athlete.Most racing and competing horses are able to maintain their acid/alkali balance when provided with an appropriate electrolyte mix such as ELECTROMIX ELECTROLYTES & SWEAT™ and free access to water at all times. Adequate clean drinking water should be available at all times. When introducing this product to the horse for the first time, gradually increase the dose to the level required. One level plastic scoop (enclosed) holds around 45 g. LIGHT SWEATING: 40 g per day. Mix 20 g with feed twice daily or add to 10 L of drinking water. HEAVY SWEATING: 80 g per day. Mix 40 g twice daily mixed in feed or add 80g to 10 L of drinking water. AS A DRENCH, e.g. PRE- AND POST-RACE: 40 g in 1 L of water or 120 g by stomach tube in 4L of water.
