It is also used for the treatment and prevention of motion sickness and as an antiemetic in small animals. Its use has been suggested as an adjuvant treatment for aseptic laminitis in cattle, founder in horses, allergic-type asthma, and acute nephritis. Cattle, horses (not intended for human consumption), sheep, and dogs: As an antihistamine: 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight (1 mg/kg) every 12 or 24 hours.For aseptic laminitis in cattle: 0.5 to 1.1 ml per 10 kg of body weight (5.5–11 mg/10 kg) during the acute phase, administered along with corticosteroids.
