As an aminoglycoside, NEOMYCIN is rapidly bactericidal against gram-negative bacteria, with killing directly dependent on concentratio higher levels lead to faster bacterial
death. Its inhibitory action continues even after serum levels drop below MIC, due to the post-antibiotic effect.
Dosage and Method of Use:
Precautionary Use:1 gram in 8 liters of drinking water for 3 to 5 days.
Treatment:Use 1 gram in 4 liters of drinking water for 3 to 5 days.
Withdrawal Period:14 days.
