Brand: Eheim Phosphate Out Chemically effective phosphate remover inhibits algae growth. EHEIM phosphateout is a special iron compound for chemical filtration. The iron binds the phosphate, removes it from the water cycle, and thus gradually reduces the phosphate content in the aquarium. This primarily inhibits algae growth. When the phosphate content, and thus algae growth, increases again, the filter medium is exhausted and must be replaced.
