Enrocure 10% Injectable Solution

COMPOSITION Enrocure 10% Injectable Solution is a bright yellow coloured, clear solution. Each ml contains 100 mg of enrofloxacin. INDICATIONS FOR USE It is indicated in cattle and sheep in the treatment of respiratory and alimentary system disorders such as pleuropneumonia and gastroenteritis, in the treatment of septicemia, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis and other soft tissue infections, and against the bacterial complications of viral infections, caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasmas sensitive to enrofloxacin. ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS Administer to target animals by intramuscular, subcutaneous or intravenous routes at the dose of 2.5 mg/kg bw/day for 3 days, unless advised otherwise by the veterinarian. It is recommended to be used at the dose of 5 mg/kg bw for 5 days only in severe chronic infections and in salmonellosis. Practical dose is 1 ml for 40 kg bw. Practical doses are as follows: Animal species Body weight 2.5 mg/kg 5 mg/kg Lamb 20 kg 0.5 ml 1 ml Sheep 40 kg 1 ml 2 ml Sucking calf 100 kg 2.5 ml 5 ml Calf – Heifer 200 kg 5 ml 10 ml Cattle 400 kg 10 ml 20 ml Do not inject more than 5 ml to same injection site. In such cases, divide the dosage and administer separately. Pay attention to asepsis-antisepsis while using the product. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S) Cattle and sheep should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment or for 14 and 10 days, respectively, following the last treatment. Cow milk should not be used for human consumption during the treatment or for 4 days (8 milkings) after the last treatment. Do not use in lactating ewes producing milk for human consumption.
