Teknosül Oral / Intrauterine Tablet

COMPOSITION Teknosül Oral / Intrauterine Tablet is a light cream coloured tablet with a notch line in the middle. Each tablet contains 1000 mg of sulfamethoxazole and 200 mg of trimethoprim. INDICATIONS FOR USE It is used as an intrauterine treatment in cows and mares for metritis cases caused by sensitive bacteria, as an oral treatment in calves, lambs and kids against infections such as colibacillosis, salmonellosis, colisepticemia, soft tissue infections such as pneumonia and umbilical infections. ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS It is used by intrauterine route in mares and cows and by orally in pre-ruminant calves, lambs and kids. Unless advised otherwise by the veterinarian, the use is as follows: Intrauterine: Hygienic conditions should be provided when inserting the tablets. Cow – Mare: 2 – 4 tablets/day Oral: Tablets are administered directly or by dissolving in water. At the dose of 5 mg/kg trimethoprim + 25 mg/kg sulfamethoxazole, i.e. 1 tablet / 40 kg bw. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S) Calves, lambs and kids after oral application and cows after intrauterine application should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment and for 14 days following the last treatment. Cow milk should not be used for human consumption during the treatment and for 10 days (20 milkings) following the last treatment.
