Leader Red is a pigment containing 100 g of canthaxanthin per kg. Canthaxanthin is stabilized in a matrix of carbohydrates and gelatin as a dry powder. It is mainly used in animal feeds in combination with yellow xanthophylls to enhance the yellow-orange color of egg yolk. It is also used to pigmenting broiler skin, table egg, and salmonids (salmon and trout), Clarias Batrachus, red tilapia, aquarium fish, crab, etc.
