These include bacterial infections (e.g. Columnaris, Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, mouth and fin rot), infections by fungi (e.g. Saprolegnia), single celled skin parasites (e.g. Ichthyobodo (Costia), Ichthyophthirius, Chilodonella, Trichodina) as well as skin and gill flukes. The treatment can also be used for disinfecting external injuries and furthermore prevents secondary infections.
